New spray guns strike perfect balance 02 August 2022

ALMAX began supplying the automotive painting industry with accessories over 30 years ago. Brett Bishop, the company’s Sales & Marketing Manager, says every bit of that experience has gone into the selection of their new look, smart design Nova gravity spray guns. “They’ve got exactly the balance of price and performance that we were looking for. We wanted to be able to offer the market a spray gun that’s fit for purpose, durable and does a good job, but is also accessible.”

He says the gun will particularly appeal to car buffs, serious DIYers, engineers and other professionals looking for a good quality finish that won’t break the bank. 

The very efficient guns are a pleasure to use, with the features you’d expect plus some you wouldn’t. The high volume, low pressure (HVLP) system means there’s less overspray, and mess and waste is minimised. At the same time, the guns’ lightweight construction reduces fatigue - ideal if it’s been a long day, or the operator is working on a big job.

Available in a 1.3mm set up for base and clear coats or a 1.8mm set up for primers and industrial finishes, the Nova guns have something else a bit extra on top of their sleek looks. The black gravity cups protect water-based UV coatings from the light, enabling the coatings to be sprayed without degrading, a real advantage over spray guns with clear or white gravity cups.
