Products sell well “right across the board”

David Broome says his almost 30 years as owner of Guthrie Bowron Gore seems to have gone by pretty quickly. He says he came into the business from a background in retail and decided it was time to take the next step. "I wanted to do something for myself" 

David is driven by a strong emphasis on customer service and retention, "because without them, you don't have anything".

In nearly three decades with Guthrie Bowron he says he's seen some major changes in the decorating sector. “From focusing on retailing paint and wallpaper, then with window treatments and paint trade custom, things have really evolved to present our customers a more complete offer in home decorating. More recently flooring has become an emphasis within the group, complementing the decorating package.”

With a strong paint and sundries offering, Guthrie Bowron Gore has worked with ALMAX "for years". David say they fit well as a core supplier and their products sell well “right across the board".

“The ALMAX service received is outstanding, as is their freight delivery service.”

"They're an efficient and good company to deal with. And, if they introduce any new lines or anything different with a point of difference, I'll definitely look at that too."
