What is a ‘True Colour’ LED light?

We often get asked why is your Leopard LED light range a ‘True Colour’ light?

The ‘True Colour’ LED light gives you a light as close to daylight as possible.

This is measured by a CRI – Colour Rendering Intex, it measures how accurately a LED reveals the true colours compared to natural light.

CRI Ranges

CRI 90 – 100 Excellent colour rendering

CRI 80 – 90 Good Colour Rendering

CRI Less than 80 Average to poor colour rendering – Usually found in low cost LED lights.

The ALMAX Leopard LED light range has a CRI index of 95.

f you are working with any colour sensitive projects the high CRI is crucial.

For trade painters a CRI of 90 + helps ensure the paint looks true to colour on the wall, in low light areas.
